Main areas of action are digital marketplaces, adtech, financial services and IoT.  In the IoT-unit Mikaels main focus is supporting Telenors 13 Business Units in their IoT journeys, including forming the strategy, establish new lines of business and partnerships, support in special projects, M&A activities, etc. 

Prior to taking up these responsibilities Mikael was most recently forming and heading Telenor Connexion’s (Telenors dedicated IoT company) APAC operations. In this role, he drove sales, business development, partner strategy and development, throughout Asia Pacific. He is a founding member of Telenor Connexion and originally had the responsibility to develop and deploy the go-to-market strategy.  

With nearly 20 years of strategic and operational experience from various geographical markets and industries, Mikael is nowadays seen as a thought leader and frequently used as keynote speaker throughout Asia. Before joining Telenor Connexion, he held a role as Project Director at Telenor Group, driving key global business development projects across the world. Prior to Telenor, his telecom experience comes from various senior commercial and strategic roles in global companies such as Vodafone Global Enterprise and Tieto.
