Sabine Benoit joined Singapore Management University (SMU) in 2024 as Professor of Marketing (Practice). Before joining SMU, she was a Professor of Marketing at the University of Surrey in the UK. Her main areas of expertise are service and retail marketing, particularly retail technology and the sharing economy. Her work has been published in leading international journals, she has received various awards, and serves on seven Editorial Boards of academic journals. Sabine is enthusiastic about making her research accessible to non-academic audiences and publishes content on her YouTube channel and LinkedIn. Recently, she also gave a TEDx talk about the future of the sharing economy. She teaches Marketing to MBA, EMBA, and Master students and has co-developed the Data Science for Executives course at the London School of Economics (UK). She has worked with and is supported by several companies for her research and has served on Advisory Board positions in the manufacturing and retail sectors.
