Rizwi Wun

Rizwi Wun is one of the founding members of RHTLaw Taylor Wessing. He has been in practice for about 20 years and is a Partner of the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology Practice and heads the Consumer Brands Industry Group.

In the area of intellectual property, his main areas of legal practice include the creation, protection, commercialisation and enforcement of intellectual property in Singapore, and within the region. With regard to technology matters, Rizwi’s focus covers mainly data privacy issues, personal data protection and cyber security issues. The other main regulatory aspects of his practice include telecommunications and competition law.

Rizwi contributes regularly on topics including competition law, data privacy and protection, and has been featured in local and regional media, including Channel News Asia, the Singapore Business Times and Bloomberg Asia, on issues relating to cyber security and data protection.

Rizwi is a recognized leading lawyer and has received recognitions for his work over the years. His recent accolades include being ranked as a leading lawyer in “Patents by Who’s Who Legal” in 2016 and recognized in the “World Trademark Review 1000” – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals for 2017, 2018 and 2019. Most recently in January 2019, he was appointed as a member of the Asia Advisory Board of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
