In 2008-2013, Rex worked in Alibaba.com as Senior Business Development Manager, responsible for online buyer services, supplier matching, and sourcing hub projects. He is expert in online sourcing and international trade. He is one of the key persons in B2B online buyer development in Alibaba. Since 2014, he is the Head of Tmall Global for HK, Macau & South-East Asia, and responsible for merchant recruitment, store promotions and operations, merchant consultancy and training in Tmall Global. He can speak fluent Mandarin, English, Cantonese and Japanese, which help him better understanding the culture differences among countries. Prior to joining Alibaba.com, Rex used to be a merchandiser for mainly household & kitchen products in Wal-Mart Global Procurement for 3+ years. He was fond of taking challenges, and also a founder of a health supplement distributor in China & Hong Kong. He is also a pioneer merchant to sell health food in Tmall Global. To keep abreast with fast-changing economy, Rex got a bachelor degree in Economics and a MBA both in The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is good with numbers and marketing promotion.
