Ravi Thakran

Ravi Thakran is Chairman and Managing Partner of L Catterton Asia, the Asian franchise of the world’s leading consumer growth investor. In 2016 L Catterton was formed through a merger between Catterton and L Capital, the private equity arm of LVMH, and Groupe Arnault. 

Since launching L Capital Asia in 2009, Mr Thakran successfully raised and deployed over USD $2 Billion (including co-investment) across the first two funds. These investments focused on consumer lifestyle brands such as Charles & Keith, Fabindia, and Trendy International Group (China) among others. The financial and operational supports provided by L Catterton have enabled these businesses to achieve significantly greater scale and profitability, providing strong returns to fund investors. 

Mr Thakran concurrently serves as Group Chairman, LVMH South and Southeast Asia, Australia and Middle East. Prior to his time at LVMH, Mr Thakran held senior management positions at Swatch Group, Nike, and the Tata Group. He received an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
