Joshua Koh

Joshua Koh is the CEO at Commune Lifestyle Pte Ltd (Commune), a local Singapore furniture retail company with close to 50 stores worldwide. Commune is a furniture company focused on the design and production of functional and stylish furniture using sustainable and safe materials, for use in urban apartments. Commune is the subsidiary of Koda Ltd, a Singapore listed furniture manufacturer and retailer with an annual turnover of more than US$50m, exporting to more than 150 customers across 50 countries. In 2013, Commune was the recipient of the “New Entry of the Year” award bestowed by the Singapore Furniture Industries Council and also won the Gold Award at the Singapore Furniture Industry Awards.

Mr Koh began his career at Koda Ltd in 2008, serving as Deputy Managing Director of the company’s Vietnam operations from 2009 – 2010. He oversaw the group’s largest manufacturing facility with over 1,000 employees, driving a 20 per cent increase in annual turnover to US$27m during his tenure. In 2012, he became the group’s Financial Controller and co-founded the Group’s first retail brand in Singapore, Commune. He was promoted to Group Chief Financial Officer in 2014 where he further grew the Commune network to over 20 shops across Asia and oversaw the retail brand’s supply chain process and procurement decisions for the brand’s regional requirements.
